Start with business processes, then choose your specialization. A useful roadmap goes beyond knowing where to click.

Start with a business process

Choose a process you can explain from beginning to end, such as procure-to-pay or order-to-cash. Identify the people involved, the data they need, the approvals, and the business result. This gives technical learning a useful context.

Choose a functional or technical direction

Your background can help narrow the choice. Finance, procurement, supply chain, HR, and development lead to different learning priorities. Review actual role descriptions and select one specialization before trying to cover every module.

Practice the implementation lifecycle

Build a small portfolio containing a process map, requirements, configuration decisions, test cases, UAT evidence, and a cutover checklist. Explain why you made each decision and how you would hand the solution to users and support teams.
